At EAHC Marden , we are dedicated to the advancement of the General Practice profession by actively participating in the training of future doctors.
Our GP registrars are fully qualified doctors who are undergoing additional specialised training in General Practice. They bring valuable experience from their working years at public hospitals and rural placements. As a valued part of our clinical team, they contribute significantly to the quality of care we provide. We have a robust education programme that helps aid their learning and they are very well supported by all the EAHC Marden general practitioners. They can be working at the clinic for a 6 -12 month rotation.
EAHC Marden is accredited by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) as a training practice for GP registrars.
Dr Joe Massolino and Dr Geoff Barrow have undertaken specific training to become Accredited Registrar Supervisors. Together with the other doctors at EAHC Marden they provide mentoring, education and training to our Registrars.
As EAHC Marden is a teaching practice and the doctors are keen to give back to this wonderful profession we host medical students from the University of Adelaide throughout the year. These students are in different stages of their undergraduate course.
Providing a positive educational opportunity and demonstrating how a General Practice clinic is run will hopefully encourage them to choose this rewarding career. The Admin staff will advise if your doctor has a medical student with them on the day of your appointment and your consent will be sought. If you prefer a student is not present please inform the front desk staff.
