Immunisations

Vaccines keep us all safe, whether by protecting us for international travel, preventing your child from contracting whooping cough, or providing the seasonal flu shot’s herd immunity effects.

Our clinic stocks all childhood immunisations listed on the government-funded National Immunisation Program (NIP) and Adult government funded immunisation for:

  • Covid
  • Influenza
  • Shingles
  • Prevenar 13/23
  • Meningoccoccal

We also stock private, non-government-funded vaccines sought after by the community, such as those for:

  • Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B
  • Tetanus
  • Typhoid
  • Whooping cough

Your GP will give you a prescription for any vaccines we don’t stock. Once the prescription is filled at your local pharmacy, an appointment is required with your doctor/nurse to administer.

As immunisations need to be kept at a certain temperature “cold chain” it is imperative to pick up the immunisation just before your appointment, then hand it to the front desk staff who will place it in the immunisation fridge whilst you wait for your appointment.

Anyone getting a vaccine must wait 15 minutes after their appointment in the clinic’s waiting room to be monitored for very rare allergic reactions.

Your GP will also update your vaccination history in your Australian Immunisation Register on the same day as your appointment.
