We are pleased to offer the service of IV iron infusions at EAHC Marden. Iron infusions are used for the treatment of iron deficiency and anaemia Iron is given through an intravenous drip over 20mins to replenish body iron stores The procedure usually takes 1 hour, as afterwards patients are monitored in the treatment room by nursing staff. If you feel like you would benefit from an infusion please book in with you GP to discuss and arrange with one of the doctors that performs iron infusions. A pre infusion consult is usually required as a standard consult and then a one hour long appointment for the infusion.
