Fees as at 1st of July 2023
East Adelaide Healthcare is a private billing practice - bulk billing is not routine.
Medicare rebates can then be paid directly into your bank account when the account is paid in full. We use the Tyro Payments system which allows us to instantaneously refund your rebate onto your Savings or Cheque card, meaning you don't have to wait to get your rebate back. Alternatively, you can supply Medicare with your bank details and they will deposit the rebate into your designated bank account within 48 hours (click here for more information about full payment of accounts).
Telehealth and Phone Consults:
As of the 20th of July 2020, if you have not been seen by a GP at one of our practices in the last 12 months, Medicare will no longer provide a rebate for GP Telehealth services. If you pass our screening, you will be required to attend our practices in person for your consult. Alternatively, you may choose to still have a Telehealth / Phone consult, but you will be required to pay for the consult in full, and you will not receive a rebate from Medicare.
As of the 1st of October 2020, Medicare has changed its billing requirements for Telehealth consults so bulk-billing for Telehealth consults is no longer a requirement. This will mean that there may be a fee for your Telehealth or Phone consult.
Fees for telehealth / phone consults are the same fees as their equivalent in surgery consult.

- Late Cancellations / Do Not Attend Appointments:
There is a cancellation fee of $25.00 for standard appointments not cancelled with an adequate advanced notice (charged at the discretion of individual doctors) or if you do not attend your appointment. We encourage patients to notify us if they are unable to attend an appointment - this enables us to offer the appointment to another patient.
Cash, cheques and credit cards are all accepted - EFTPOS facilities are available.
American Express Cards not accepted.
