East Adelaide Healthcare General Practice is dedicated to providing the best care and service, thereby ensuring the best health and wellbeing of our patients.
It was established in February 2001 following the amalgamation of the Payneham Family Practice and the Royston Park and Newton Surgeries.
 April 2005 saw a further amalgamation take place with Campbelltown 7 day Family Practice joining East Adelaide
Healthcare.
East Adelaide Healthcare consults from two surgeries:

| The aim of this practice is to keep appointments running to schedule. However, priority will be given to urgent cases when necessary, and this may cause delays.
Being late is annoying for patients and stressful for staff and doctors. We are keen to fix our continual lateness. One of the problems is that often our consultations run over time. Just 4 minutes extra per consultation means that the doctor is 1 hour late at the end of the session! You can help by:
- Being aware that your time with the doctor will be about 12-15 minutes.
- If you require a longer appointment advise the receptionist at the time of booking and a longer appointment time will be allocated.
- Being understanding if the doctor suggest you come back to address remaining issues
- Understanding that a "fit in" or "brief" appointment is for really urgent/can't wait conditions on the day, and to deal only with that one (1) urgent problem.
Reception staff will endeavour to inform you of any delay when you arrive. If you require a longer appointment please advise receptionist at the time you make your appointment. |

| Cancellation Fee $20.00. At the discretion of individual doctors a cancellation fee is charged for appointments not kept without notification.
We encourage patients to notify the practice if they unable to attend an appointment - this enables us to offer the time slot to another patient. |

| If you are unhappy with any aspect of the care you receive, please discuss this with the Practice Manager, Gina Bilibio or your doctor.
We believe problems are best dealt within the practice. However, external complaints may be made to the SA Medical Board - phone 8362 7811. |

A phlebotomist are located at both surgeries from 8.00am - 12.30pm every morning Monday to Friday for pathology services.

| The reception and nursing staff at East Adelaide Healthcare are here to provide a service of excellence to all patients.
The practice will not accept any form of abuse directed at any of our staff whatsoever. The practitioners of the practice view this form of behaviour gravely and will not continue to provide services to patients if it is found their behaviour has been unacceptable.

| Every patient's medical history is treated confidentially. However at times relevant patient information may be passed on to another practitioner who is involved in that patient's care.

| Physiotherapy consultations are provided at both Payneham and Newton surgeries by Olivio Varricchio B.Physio. of Physiotherapy ACTIVE
Olivio specialises in sports & spinal injuries incl workcover and motor vehicle accident claims as well as treating eligible patients under the Medicare scheme.
He is also the club physiotherapist for MetroStars Soccer Club

Friday 12pm - 6.30pm
Newton: Monday 1pm - 6.30pm
Tuesday 1pm - 6.30pm
Thursday 1pm - 6.30pm

Private Health Funds: Physiotherapy ACTIVE is a Mutual Community and MBF preferred provider which means that extra cover is available for such members. Olivio provides services for most Private Health funds and through the HI-CAPS machine, Funds can be billed directly using the membership card. The subsequent gap must be paid at the time of consult.
