COVID and Flu Vax Update - 17/2/21

Flu Vaccines:

At this stage, we have not had confirmation from the Government about Flu Vaccines and when they will become available for us to administer. As soon as we hear from the Government we will let our patients know. We expect there will be a delay in the 2021 Seasonal Flu Vaccines due to the rollout of the COVID Vaccines.

 

Increase in Fees as of 1st January 2021

Today Medicare rebates do not cover the full cost of providing you with the medical care that we aim to deliver.  This is because the rate at which successive governments have indexed the Medicare Schedule fees has been substantially lower than increases in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and average weekly earnings.

Christmas Holiday Opening Hours 2020

From Friday the 25th o​f December, 2020 until Monday the 4th of January, 2021 we will be consulting at our Marden Surgery only.

We are pleased to announce that we now have new bike racks installed at Marden for those who choose to ride to our Marden Surgery.

Given the current COVID outbreak in SA, we are encouraging our patients to book in for Telehealth consults where it is appropriate to do so.

We offer Telehealth appointments to all of our patients. We will book a time with your doctor and they will call you for a phone consult. As of the 1st of October 2020, Medicare has changed its requirements and its rebates to GPs for Telehealth consults.

We offer Telehealth appointments to all of our patients. We will book a time with your doctor and they will call you for a phone consult. If you meet Medicare’s criteria for being bulk-billed for a phone consult, there will be no out of pocket cost to you.

Respiratory Illnesses Update - 10/9/20

Whilst we are still declared to be in this pandemic, our current practice is to not assess any potentially infectious patients with a respiratory illness inside our practices. We will assist our patients with respiratory illnesses via Telehealth and car-park consultations, and in some instances by referral to GP-Led Respiratory Clinics.
